I started working in the newsroom before even graduating with my degree in Social Communication and Journalism from the University of Bogotá Jorge Tadeo Lozano. Juggling classes and hands-on reporting, I jumped into the evolving world of storytelling—journalism was changing fast with social media, and I loved bringing stories to life in every way: writing, video, audio, graphics—you name it.

 

After graduating, I worked across communications, social media, marketing campaigns, and promotion events in a variety of industries including: politics, livestock, retail, beauty, media, and entertainment. These experiences taught me how to craft messages and connect brands with people through well-executed storytelling across different channels—whether live experiences, emails, social posts, or campaigns. I learned how creativity, strategy, and attention to detail can turn a message into something people actually notice and remember.

 

Eventually, I moved to Texas and fell in love with its multicultural environment. At Estrella TV, I discovered the joy of writing in Spanish for diverse Hispanic audiences, learning how to adapt tone, style, and messaging to resonate across nationalities. At Social Factor, I gained direct experience moderating live events and observing audience behavior online, developing deep insights into social media engagement and real-time content creation. Now, at XL Pro, I create social-first campaigns and content in both English and Spanish, applying everything I’ve learned to help brands connect with multicultural audiences in ways that feel authentic, relevant, and memorable.
